I am usually pretty up to date with electronics, but I still have not upgraded my DVD players to Blu-ray yet. However, that is about to change with the video re-release of the Star Wars films on Blu-ray only.
Yes, the Star Wars movies are being re-released for the 100th or so time on video in September and I am once again going to be sucker, I mean loyal fan, and buy the latest release.
The main reason I want to pick up these versions is for the deleted scenes that are going to be available for the first time. Most of these scenes can be found in the novelizations and even Marvel comics versions of the movies. We'll get to see the missing scenes of Luke and Biggs on Tatooine from Star Wars, the deleted scenes of the Wampa attacks on Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back, the sand storm after the rescue of Han Solo from Return of the Jedi and more.
