I came across this 1983 MSNBC report over at Mr. Vintage Star Wars site and though it was pretty interesting. This report was done at the time Kenner was gearing up to release its Return of the Jedi toy line. It's shows how the action figures were put on card backs, factory workers testing things like TIE Fighter wings popping off, and packing the toys themselves. If you ever wanted to know what went on in the Kenner factory, this is a neat video to watch. Just look at those vintage, mint Star Wars toys on the store shelf. Love the kid who tells the reporter he'll cut is hand off if he moves. I wonder if that guy still has the figures he bought?
