The Spread at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic-Con |
Year after year I have been unable to get tickets to the
San Diego Comic-Con.
Each year I sign on to multiple computers, as do my friends, and attempt to buy badges to gain us access to the largest and entertainment of the year only to have the Online box office slammed shut in our faces as we get to the front of the line. However, there are alternatives to SDCC.
I've been giving sneak peeks of my weekend of the
Amazing Las Vegas Comic-Con over the past few weeks, but here's the rest as promised.

My friend Marshall asked Jim Lee if he could run over to the Stan Lee room for a photo and he did! Two comic book greats in one place.

Devoted Stan Lee fan at Amazing LV comic-Con |
This little tiger had Stan Lee autograph her shoulder to later be converted to a tattoo. Now that's a devoted fan.

For my buddy Eric, who does a
weekly devotion to Harley Quinn over at
Toyriffic, a rogues gallery of the Jokers better half.
I was so involved to taking pictures that I kept forgetting to get in some myself. Here's a look at a few with me included.

The amount of photos I have from this event are endless, but I hope you enjoyed a few of my favorites. Don't worry, they'll be plenty more where this came from when I attend the
Las Vegas Comic Expo in September. Anyone care to join me?

Who needs SDCC John when you got the Amazing LV CC instead! Looks like a awesome time buddy and did you end up picking up any toys or other goodies while you were there?
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely correct John Boy. Oh, man. I meant to discuss that. I really need to do another post, but there was a really nice booth full of vintage toys. Especially, Star Wars toys and I had my eye on a few items. However, it was one of the first booths I checked out and I wanted to shop around a bit before committing to anything. Unfortunately, at the time I returned a fellow collector was there going to town. Not only did you drop $1,500 in cash on vintage toys, he bought several items I had in mind to pick up, including a Droid Factory that is on my Star Wars want list. A lesson in he who hesitates is lost.
DeleteGreatness! I missed the recent Con in town when Stan Lee visited, but there is another nice little Con this summer that a girl asked me to... ;)
ReplyDeleteYou need to go Colin. They are fun.
DeleteWow...Didn't know about Las Vegas having a con. I couldn't go though. That Lara would have been too tempting.
