My One True Weekness
We'll I have more than one.
Ice cream is definitely something I never turn down, but I can go a couple days without it. The one thing that I can't do without on a daily basis is soda.
Not Sprite, 7-Up, or root beer mind you, although I do like all sodas, the type of soda that I can't hide from is the ever addicting caffeine containing type.
I easily consume at least 3 a day during the week and if I go out to dinner on the weekend, lookout! I always suggest the server bring me a pitcher to save them a lot of work.

Happy Halloween 2013 From The Batcave Toy Room
This weeks League of Shadows assignment...Whoops! I mean this weeks League of Extraordinary Bloggers assignment asked us to do a photo story on our hometowns goings on for Halloween.
So, here's a look at what's happening in Fabulous Las Vegas.
It's cool that several of my neighbors go all out for All Hallows Eve, but for us we're a little bit more simple.
I am looking forward to the haunts going on the night of 10/31. I know my daughter is really going to crazy love it. Last year she was just getting the idea of it all and didn't want to stop. This year we're probably going to have a long night.
You can see my daughter hiding behind the pumpkin she's about to carve. We had a blast.
Here we're waiting in line to take on the giant 50 foot slide at one of our local pumpkin patches. The Vegas patches are in dirt lots. I long to visit a real down home feeling pumpkin patch one day.
My biggest thrill this year however is going to be my daughter dressing as Batgirl. Although, she insists she's Batman despite my insistence that Batman does not wear a tutu.
I wish I had shots from the Zombie walks and runs or even any Cosplayers dream the Fetish and Fantasy Ball, but I didn't make it out to any of those events this year. Anyway, on behalf of the Batcave Toy Room have a safe and insane Halloween.

Regrets...I Have A Few
At times I actually drive my super cool, yet non-geek wife crazy.
"Unbelievable!", you say. I know...right.
However, the fact is it is true. There are probably a few things that drive her crazy about me, but one thing for sure is the fact that I generally won't buy something unless I absolutely love it.

Bringing A Balanced Lifestyle To The Force
Lou Ferrigno discusses the importance of a balanced lifestyle at the Las Vegas Comic Expo |
Part of my enlightenment to take better care of myself came from Mr. Ferrigno's inspiring talking on how he went from a scrawny kid to one day being The Incredible Hulk. During the panel he talked about the importance of exercise, but that eating healthy and getting plenty of rest all needed to be part of a balanced lifestyle.

Even After 75 Years Superman Is Still Superman
I love this Zack Snyder animated short for the 75th Anniversary of Superman.
This sweet short starts with the Man of Steel's beginnings in Action Comic #1 and reveals his is ever evolving abilities of being faster than speeding bullet and going from leaping tall buildings in a single bound to his ability to fly.
The film also accounts for the different actors and musical scores that have defined him in media, but also shares moments in time with Andy Warhol and the iconic Mohammed Ali vs. Superman giant comic book. One of my favorite moments was the glimpse of the Atari 2600 game that I had played for countless hours in my youth.
Let this short be a reminder that you should always be yourself first, but continue to strive to progress and expand or evolve on the mold that is already there.

Ever Think About Re-Inveting Yourself?
At times we think a change will do us good, but sometimes being to true to yourself is best. |
Not really, but sometimes I think it would be cool to go to the extreme and just go wild and do a complete make over, but even though I've deduced the identity of Batman, being Hugo Strange is not really me.
You may have noticed some changes around the Batcave Toy Room as I attempt to clean up around here a little bit, but as I clean up the site I also have been cleaning up myself as well. There isn't a need to do a complete makeover. Just get back to the basics and be who I am again.

Help Kickstart Cool and Collected Magazine
I am honored as all get out that my friend Brian Adams, fellow toy collector and editor of the website Cool and Collected, asked me to contribute an article for the premiere issue of Cool and Collected - The Magazine for Pop Culture Collectors.
I am as excited as a cadet on his first orbit about this and I knew one day something as cool as this would come to fruition for one of the many toy collectors I swap pop culture collecting stories with, but your help is needed to make this a reality.

More Mattel Classic Batman TV Series Action Figures and Toys To Come
Mattel's Classic Batman TV series toy line wave I |
I was skeptical about Mattel pulling the plug on their Classic Batman toy line since I was never able to find any official announcement from Mattel. I had either read it on other toy or Batman forums or people were commenting or emailing the Batcave Toy Room with the news, but a new bat signal is shining bright over all the Desmond Doomsday voiceovers.
